Pre-primary wing
Nursery and Kindergarten adopts a non-formal approach to teaching-learning process. Children at CAIS are encouraged to explore their environment while also being taught basic concepts in English language (through phonics), Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (In the form of Unit of Inquiry), Art & Craft, Sports, Dance and Music.
Various activities at this level are designed to develop fine motor skills and enhance sensory development. The students are given an opportunity to work on and develop their socio-emotional behaviour with an integration of physical education through trained personnel. In a nurturing environment students develop an awareness of themselves as responsible and capable learners for the first time.
Primary Wing
Spanning classes I – V, this stage of school aims to build on the child’s growing spirit of discovery and exploration. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of sound language skills, mathematical concepts and scientific fundamentals. Art Integrated & Subject Enrichment Activities enable students to gain awareness and in-depth knowledge. The children are encouraged to develop good study habits and a love for learning.
The focus is on understanding and comprehending the concept and its application rather than just ‘knowing’ it. Interactions in the classroom are student centred and aim to draw out what the student thinks. Constant effort is made to help the students to assess, analyse and compare rather than just accept the written word. Various co scholastic activities are designed in a way that they are intricately woven in the curricular structure as per the need of the class.
Middle Wing
Comprising classes VI to VIII, this stage sees the introduction of a third language, Sanskrit or French, as well the detailing of history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology as separate subjects. To boost the confidence of child we work on Holistic Development . Holistic development is not an option but a necessity in today’s educational landscape. CBSE schools, by nurturing the mind-body connection, are equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel academically, emotionally, and socially.
By emphasizing cognitive development, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness, these schools are paving the way for a brighter and more holistic future for the next generation. It’s time to recognize that a balanced education is the key to nurturing well-rounded individuals who can thrive in the complex world they will inherit.
Secondary and Sr. Secondary Wing
Comprising classes IX to XII, the senior school is where early life’s lessons are put to test. Students are given real time exposure on ground working. Students are encouraged to hand hold and mentor the young one to play different roles in school life. The students play the role of stake holders in various school activities. Rigorous practice and study techniques with special emphasis on analysis and conceptualization are woven into the curriculum, as the students prepare to appear for their CBSE board examinations and the upcoming life ahead. The school offers a broad spectrum of subjects from Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams.
