Exams are the way to test student’s knowledge. Exams and test help the student’s concentrate in their studies, learn their lessons properly and to enhance the real skills, talents and knowledge. It is the way to express their real knowledge and ability and its application in real life situations. It teaches a lot of things and gives training on various things like punctuality, writing skills, and timing sense, expressing our thoughts and opinions and so on.
In the elementary school there are no formal examinations. CAIS believes in Recording holistic development of the students. Therefore, the mother-Teachers’ evaluations and assessments are continuous and ongoing and are deemed sufficient to mark student’s progress.
In Primary wing of the school, appraisal of a child’s progress in Scholastic Field is based on Periodic Assessments, Subject Enrichment Activities and Art Integrated Projects and terminal exams at the end of each term, while co scholastic assessment is based on day-to-day observation in the class, participation in school life, class work & homework etc.
In the middle school as well, we follow continuous evaluations throughout the year based on Periodic Assessments, Subject Enrichment Activities and Art Integrated Projects and terminal exams at the end of each term, while co scholastic assessment is based on day-to-day observation in the class, participation in school life, class work & homework.
Secondary and Senior Secondary School assessments are conducted following the CBSE guidelines.
A regular assessment of student’s work is considered crucial in the educational process. The students’ academic as well as socio-emotional progress is discussed with both parents and students.
